Tempo and audio editing

• BPM Detector 2.0.0: File and microphone input, BPM to 0.1 with a confidence meter, a beat grid on the waveform and a click track. (53 checks passed)
• Tempo Tapper 2.0.0: Fits your taps to a beat grid so stray taps are ignored and missed beats bridged; half/double time; opens the result in the metronome. (23 checks passed)
• Online Metronome 2.0.0: Audio-clock scheduling, 20–300 BPM with decimals, editable accents, custom time signatures and a trainer. (34 checks passed)
• Pitch Shifter 2.0.0: Phase-vocoder pitch shift that keeps stereo and speed, a pitch-plus-speed mode, tempo control, a key helper and WAV at the original sample rate. (75 checks passed)
• Pitch to MIDI Converter 2.0.0: Voice or audio file to a MIDI file with a live piano roll; also removes the old plugin’s second canonical tag and extra schema from every page. (95 checks passed)
• Spectrogram Viewer 2.0.0: Microphone and file spectrograms with a cursor readout, click-to-play, mel scale and colour maps. (27 checks passed)

Changes on every tool page

• Exactly one H1 per page, with the tool name as an H2; tools that printed a second H1 inside the page were replaced by proper plugins.
• One WebApplication entry per tool inside Yoast’s structured data; duplicated FAQPage, HowTo and SoftwareApplication blocks were removed. Every tool validates with 0 errors and 0 warnings.
• Tool scripts and styles now load only on the page that uses them, so other pages load faster.
• Every tool was checked on a 390 px phone screen: no sideways scrolling and touch targets of at least 44 px.
• Clear messages when the microphone is blocked or missing, and a file option where it makes sense.
• Descriptions rewritten to match what each tool really does, with the tested accuracy stated where we measured it.

Hubs and navigation

• New Charts hub for note, frequency, vocal range and instrument charts.
• Rebuilt topic hubs: Vocal Range, Ear Training, Instrument Tuning and the Knowledge Hub, which replaces the old /learn/ archive.
• The all tools page, main menu and footer now point to every tool and hub.

Redirects and clean-up

• 81 duplicate or thin URLs, including 28 old /blog/ copies of articles, now redirect (301) to the best matching page.
• 4 older URLs (including /pitch-detector/ and /average-male-vocal-range/) redirect to their current pages, and /learn/ with its archive pages redirects to the Knowledge Hub.
• The old Pitch to MIDI plugin printed a second canonical tag, an extra og:url and five structured-data blocks on every page of the site; version 2.0.0 removes them.
• 18 high-traffic guides, including vocal range, tuning standards, note frequencies and pitch apps, were rewritten with corrected facts and direct answers.

How to Report a Problem

If a tool misbehaves after an update, email support@pitchdetector.com with the page, your device, browser and what you expected. Fixes are listed here with the new version number.
